Stellar Community Fund #45 awardee

Tokenize an RWA on Stellar without building the vault yourself.

Strata is an open-source vault kit for capital that works off-chain. Request-based subscriptions and redemptions, guarded NAV attestations, allowlisted investors, five separated authorities. Built on OpenZeppelin. You deploy your own instance, set about ten parameters, and brand the frontend.

The problem

Every team tokenizing an RWA ends up building the same technology: the vault, attested valuation, reserve accounting, request-based entry and exit, separation of duties, and an admin surface to run it. None of it is their core business. Strata is that layer as one codebase, hardened by every adopter and audited in one place.

How it works

The vault does not hold the asset.

The capital sits off-chain, in debt, money market instruments, real estate or fund shares that unwind on their own timetable, so nothing can be priced or redeemed on the spot. Someone accountable attests the value, and every entry and exit is a request settled against it.

  1. 01

    Compliance allowlists a verified investor.

  2. 02

The investor requests a subscription. USDC goes into escrow, cancellable until the epoch is sealed.

  3. 03

The reporter attests the share price. Shares are minted at that price and the investor claims them.

  4. 04

Treasury moves reserves into the real-world structure. The total attested value does not change.

  5. 05

To exit, the investor requests a redemption. The next attestation fixes the cash claim, paid in FIFO order as the reserve covers it. Any shortfall is visible on-chain and the treasury tops up.

What you get

  • 01

Vault with the full request lifecycle: escrow, epochs, cancellation, pricing-time mint and burn.

  • 02

Valuation oracle with on-chain guardrails, published as a standard SEP-40 feed.

  • 03

Split reserve accounting with the shortfall exposed on-chain.

  • 04

FIFO redemption coverage and an exit-only path for delisted investors.

  • 05

Share token and access control from OpenZeppelin (SEP-41, SEP-57), with a swappable compliance module.

  • 06

Investor dApp and admin panel, white-label, no backend.

What the contracts guarantee

Payable claims always pay.

A pause, a delisting, or a stale valuation can delay unpriced requests, never a priced, funded claim.

Attestations run under guardrails.

Multisig reporter, price bounds, cooldown, capped upside, uncapped losses, freshness window.

Shortfall is a number, on-chain.

Outbound transfers stop while it exists; claims stay payable in FIFO order.

No human key holds governance.

Five multisig authorities, timelocked upgrades with an exit window, deployment verified on-chain.

What stays with you

Yours

Legal entity, custody, KYC, the data behind each attestation, your key ceremony.

Strata does not provide

A custody, compliance or legal solution.

Who it is for

RWA teams.

Reinsurance, trade finance, commodities, bonds, wine. Keep the grant or the raise for the business; the vault is already built.

Funds and asset managers.

Tokenizing an RWA strategy for verified investors, with a NAV and a redemption queue LPs can read on-chain.

Integrators.

Consume the share price through the standard SEP-40 feed.
